1. The Soleus GPS Mini
Features: Big things come in little packages. Go little with new Soleus GPS mini with integrated USB. The Soleus GPS mini has speed, distance, and pace. Charge and upload via integrated USB, 100-lap memory, automatic lap splits, calorie counter, simple 4 button user interface, and a customizable display.
The Bad: Some reviews I've read ay the battery life isn't good and others say the band broke after only 7 months of use. I have a friend who works in an athletic store and he told me they do not stock the soleus because it was getting a bad rating for its loss of GPS signal.
The Good: Ir's small size and the USB port to sync your runs to your computer is right built into the watch, Also I LOVE the designs!
2. The Garmin 10 Forerunner
Features:
Stylish, Simple GPS Captures Every Mile
- Tracks distance, pace and calories
- Start running with the press of a button
- Identifies personal records
- Virtual Pacer™ compares current pace to target
- Plan, review and share runs at Garmin Connect
The Good: Known to be a very durable brand, the Garmin is also lightweight and not bulky. Great to be used as an everyday watch. Also known for a great battery life. I guess it's kind of cute too.
The Bad: Takes a long time to find location, so if you are wanting to go for a quick run you have to punch out time to set up for your run on the watch. The different screens are cool but can be annoying when trying to check your stats!
3. The Nike Sportswatch
Features: The Nike+ SportWatch GPS keeps track of your location, pace, distance, laps, and calories burned. With the Polar Wearlink+, it also tracks your heart rate. It stores all your run history and keeps tabs on your personal records, giving you encouragement along the way.
The Good: I've heard its a favorite of all Nike lovers, which I am. Great reviews on GPS signal and the ability to set future run goals. It's unique thin design is pretty awesome as well.
The Bad: The price is so high, probably because it is a Nike product but also because of its capabilities. It has a great run review right on the watch. I havent heard many bad things except for the price.
Well... These three options and I need to choose one. If anyone has any insight or advice, I'd love some!!
