Well, this weekend was the last time I will ever compete with my team! It was a weird and bittersweet moment stepping off the track for the last time with my teammates but I have never been so thankful or so proud to be a part of any other team. My girls are my best friends and I couldn't and wouldn't have made it through the past four years without them. They are more than friends or teammates they are sisters!
Being on a team basically my entire life has taught me a lot of thing but the biggest one being humility. Being happy for someone else when you feel left in the dark. I have experienced this and I know my teammates have as well. The best part of being on a team is having those people, that family aspect. No matter what happens you are proud and happy to call them your teammate. I absolutely love that about my team and in no way am I ready to lose them or that support!
I think this weekend showed me, I'm ready for the next chapter in my life, whether that be coaching or going into the workforce but regardless my best memories were definitely made on the track. The sport has brought so many emotions into my life the biggest one being joy! It isn't often you find something you are that truly passionate about. I fell in love so fast with the sport and just like any kind of love it's been a rollercoaster. My mantra for the rest of my life is to fall in love with as many things as possible. Nothing is better than finding passion in something!
Happy finals week friends! Less than 5 days until graduation!!!!!!
