When Your Own Conscious Gets You

We all know about karma, not necessarily do we all believe in it, but we acknowledge it's existence in life.

Karma is what we make it. There is good karma, bad karma, and no karma. Some people see themselves as exempt from it.

In the past two days, I have experienced a high level of BAD karma... I'm not sure how but I have. Between getting my car towed, dropping weights on myself at practice, losing my keys, forgetting to set my alarm and more I'm not sure how much longer i am going to last. I thought back on the last week wondering where all this negativity was coming from. I decided it could simply be I didn't hold the door for someone because I didn't think it was important. My conscious then kicked in, karma can be from years past. You never quite know when it might hit you.

To change this karma I decided I needed to really watch what I say, what I do and how I treat others. I'm generally always a nice person but lately with all this bad stuff happening to me I decided to stick to the golden rule. Deciding to be a sweeter and nicer person shouldn't be a 40 days of kindness kind of thing but better yet a lifestyle change and a promise to yourself and God you will do better. I am going to always put myself in the other person's shoes when debating on someones situation and then maybe I will see that bad things just happen. You could say karma gets us all eventually.

I finally decided to let the feeling of being ate up with bad karma go. I just need to live my life and ignore the small problems, even if it seems they come in patches. Life will definitely give you lemons and it's a good thing lemonade is delicious because you can always make something good of a bad situation.
