Recently, as a college graduate entering "the real world", I have been experience a lot of wavering in my life among friends and myself even. So many things change from the ages 21 to 25. It really is a crucial time when you start to realize what kind of things really do matter to you. The decisions you make now affect you for the rest of your life. Scary, I know. Everyone matures differently but this time in our lives is so important no matter how we mature. We are finding the career we love, deciding what friends are worth the little free time we have and some of us are even finding our life partner. It really does shake you up to think about it all.
No worries though my friends, you can rest assured knowing that God has a plan. (cough cough Proverbs 3:5) That is just the thing though, change is going to occur whether we like it or not because change is apart of his plan. It is how you become and maintain the person God created you to be that is important. Changing bad habits into beneficial habits. These are all things we do while growing up. Suddenly "living it up" no longer means having drunken nights that turn into mornings with 50 of your closest friends, but yet you realize some of the richest times you are experiencing are with your few closest friends and your family. Finding these things out isn't always fun or easy to accept but once you decide taking that next step to maturity is worth it a world of these riches awaits you.
I'm not saying you have to grow up so fast, but it is time that our generation starts acting their age. Nothing wrong with throwing back and relaxing every once in awhile but prioritize and make decisions that will benefit your future self.
Have a great week readers! XOXO
