Gods Presence In A Godless Society: US

Today I had to take a sick day, I'm fighting with a nasty sore throat. I was thumbing through Netflix when I saw a movie called "God Is Not Dead". I had been curious  to see it and hadn't yet had the time to watch it. Well, I watched it. I have to say it was hard to watch, being a Christian I would love to think no one really dismisses God in full. However, it does happen, in this movie, and in our every day lives and communities.

The student in the movie, Josh Weedan decides to take a stand against a philosophy professor in order to stand up for his faith. I love this movie because it is an example of how hard being a Christian SHOULD be. Sometimes we act like being a Christian is easy and we all live these happy and carefree Christian lives. Being a christian and a true and selfless follower of Christ should not be easy. Everyday we should wake up and be warriors for a God who loves us and wants us to live for him. He gave up everything for me, yet sometime I feel as though I shouldn't have to give up anything for him. That is the biggest misconception among believers.  I'm saved therefore, life becomes easy. NO.

Do I have to try and prove to others God exists? I believe the answer to that lies in your faith. I constantly am trying to become a more Christ-like person and so in key, yes, I am trying to be a walking example of a God that exists. He lives in us, just as he lives in the heavens. If anyone wants to question me and my faith I just want to ask them what it is that makes them smile. If they can name about 5 things that make their life worthwhile. I can guarantee at least one of those happinesses is directly linked to God's goodness. The same can be said for the question of what makes them sad? In most it is the absence of love. Whatever kind of love that may be it can all be found within the love of God. A never-ending, always-present Love.

I pray everyone has a blessed day!
